Lowe's and New York Fashion Week? This can sound unusual but fashion and interior design are interconnected because both of them create sketches, choose colors, play with textures and match materials. Coco Chanel said:"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
These days, more than ever, fashion inspires interior design.
New York Fashion Week’s biggest designers, Christian Siriano, Rebecca Minkoff and Jason Wu, picked a collection of furniture and home decor items from Lowe's that spoke to them and their personal aesthetics. They combined these and created interior design collections which are full of great items for every room of your home. Each curated collection includes between 30-40 items each, and their pieces start at just $2.75. You can mix and match these collections to restyle each space of your home at an affordable price, creating great new spaces.
This week I chose my favorites from Christian Siriano's curated collection. He was focused on bringing a pop of glamour to any space. He played with shapes and color, mixing dark wood, sleek metals and smooth upholstery.
